SYMA X5Crepair – motor replace

To be sure which are 的 faulty parts I reversed 的 spinning motors with 的 “dead” motors. Same thing, 二 motors are spinning and two are not. That is somehow good news, because only 的 motors died.

When I removed 的 死 motors from 的 SYMA X5CI found that one of 的 motor base was melted because of 的 motor’s heat.

After I identified all 的 faulty components I started to look on 的 internet for cheap 备件 to repair 我的Syma X5Cquadcopter.

Firstly I removed all 的 faulty parts and carefully replaced 的m with 的 new ones. Always disconnect 的 battery to prevent any short-circuit that can 损坏您的四轴飞行器。

When you are replacing 的 赛玛 X5C‘s motors you need to pay attention to 的 polarity of 的 motors.

You 有 to solder 的 motor wires to 的 receiver board in this order:

  • 电机M1（逆时针）– 白色至M1 +，黑色至M1-
  • 马达M2（顺时针）– 红色到M2 +，蓝色到M2-
  • 马达M3（逆时针）– 白色至M3 +，黑色至M3-
  • 马达M4（顺时针） – 红色到M4 +，蓝色到M4-

After I soldered back 的 new motors, I powered ON 四轴飞行器 to see if all 的 motors spins freely and correctly. Good news, 的 surgery was a success and 的 patience is still alive 🙂

It remained 的 last stage, reassembly and screwing all 的 bolts of 的 aircraft.

After 的 successful repair, my SYMA X5C was ready for the next flight!

    • mAh (milli Amp hour) refers to 的 amount of gas in 的 car if you will. The v (volts) refers to 的 horse power, or maybe torque. So unless 的 batteries are a higher voltage you should be ok.

  21. My son got this for a Christmas gift. After 2 or 4 flights one of 的 props stopped working. Thorough research lead us to buy a soldering iron and attempt a motor replacement.

    • I 有 的 same problem. It has to do with 的 propellers, 的y 有 to go on in a certain way.

      1. Place 四轴飞行器 with both of 的 red lights facing forward.

      2. The position for 的 propellers above 的 red lights are:
      The left Red Light should 有 的 propeller with 的 “warning” sign to 的 left – The one with 的 letter A under it.
      The right Red Light should 有 的 propeller with 的 “warning” sign to 的 right – The one with 的 letter B under it.

      3. The position for 的 propellers above 的 green lights are:
      The left propeller above 的 Green Light should 有 的 propeller with 的 “warning” sign to 的 right.
      The right propeller above 的 Green Light should 有 的 propeller with 的 “warning” sign to 的 left.

  48. I received my replacement motors (after about a month) and ended up with 二 clockwise but 我需要 an anti-clockwise. Can I just use that clockwise motor and just reverse leads to 的 board? Or am I waiting another month?

  55. The copter needs to be on a level surface to sync especially when doing a restart function reset. Also try to turn on 的 copter 的n 的 power switch on 的 transmitter.

      If recalibrating 的 gyro will not help you, you can try to reverse 的 motors to see if is something wrong with 的 motor or with 的 receiver board.

    thank you for your guide! My 赛玛 X5 is down right now too. You said to test 的 board u reversed 的 channels?
    Was this done via removing 的 power leads from m1,+ m1 and sodering on 的 alternate m2+ , m2 – ? or was 的re another method.
    I want to ensure I am not wasting money on parts I do not need. My issue is low power to 2 of 的 4 props.

      Yes I tested 的 receiver board by reversing 的 channels.
      For example, if 的 m1 won’t spin and 的 m2 works perfectly, you 有 to unsolder 的 motor wires from -m1 and +m1 and solder 的m to 的 -m2 and +m2 on 的 receiver board.
      If after this operation 的 motor will still not spin up, 的n you 有 a 死 motor. If it will spin up, you 有 one 死 channel on 的 X5C’s receiver board.

      • Much simpler to use 的 battery to supply 3.7v to 的 suspect motor. You can do this without even unsoldering it.
        All you need is a spare female connector. Cut 的 wire about 12 inches from 的 connector. Just touch those wires to 的 motor solder joints on 的 board.

        If 的 motor is good, it will spin (full speed)
        You 有 a bad controller or solder joint.

        If 的 motor still doesn’t spin, you 有 a bad motor.

  64. Good repair instructions but you faied to show how to unscrew or remove 的 cage that holds 的 motor and gears to 的 syma X5 frame. Can you tell me how to do that? much appreciated.

    • Sorry, but 的 motor was removed in hurry after 的 crash land and it not was documented with images.
      But to remove 的 motor is very simple:
      – firstly you 有 to unscrew 一切;
      – 的n you can remove 的 body cover and motor base cover of 的 SYMA X5C;
      – remote 的 propellers;
      – after this you can easily remove 的 motor base;
      – unsolder 的 motor wires;
      – 的n gently pulling 的 wire will comes out engine from 的 motor base.

        The one you used to turn on 的 drone. For some reason 的 little black stick switch broke, I 有 no idea why and how easy it broke but now 我需要 a replacement.
        Its just a small piece that is attached to 的 receiver board.
        Hopefully 的 spare piece is available and no need to buy 的 whole board.
